 Rainforests are the oldest, most
complex, and diverse ecosystem on earth and now you can grow your own
Tropical Rainforest plants at any time of the year in indoor containers, or
even outdoors
in some climates!
An average of 35 species become
extinct everyday in the world's tropical rainforests. Forces of
destruction such as logging, cattle ranching and overpopulation have all
contributed to the loss of millions of acres of tropical rainforest.
Humans must share the earth with all plants and animals, otherwise our dominance
will result in the continued extinction of many species. Now you can do
your part to help save our world's rainforests and ecosystem.
Our products are
primarily gathered from a 1500-acre virgin rainforest in Costa Rica that was saved from logging some
15 years ago. Our seeds are collected under government forestry laws from harvest sites tended to, mainly, by
extended local families. These families work together to collect and clean the seeds
in a safe and sustainable way so that there is no danger of damage to the
trees, plants or the environment.
Some of the criteria used to determine
the selection include adaptability and abundance.
 Giant tropical plants and trees from
the Rainforest can become beautiful ornamental plants for your home or
greenhouse. What grows as a
large inhabitant in
the rainforest can be a delightful houseplant in a container. Their growth is
determined by the size of the pot they are growing in, and
they are
very much at home being grown in pots. The height and spread will be determined by the size of
the container. With the right care you
will have beautiful flowering and fruiting plants that can give you many
years of enjoyment. Growing tropical plants
can also be lots of fun for kids as they learn about the tropics, Rainforest plants,
and
the environment! Germination period is generally from 5 days, up to 30 days
for
larger seed varieties.
