Beautiful, east to grow palm has numerous reed-like trunks that give the impression of bamboo.  Makes a delicate, fine-textured accent in a shrub border or in a container for use as a houseplant.

The fruits produced by this palm are edible and are similar to commercial dates.  The leaves are used to make mats, baskets, hats and brooms and children enjoy the gum produced by the roots.

Often used as an ornamental or landscaping palm as it is a hardy variety that thrives well in many climates and can withstand several degrees of frost.  The fan palm has a wide spread and grows in clumps up to 15 feet high.

Produces numerous eye catching clusters of delicate wedge-shaped leaves that resemble a fishtail.  An edible starch can be extracted from the stem, and the palm heart eaten.  This palm is also used in construction in some parts of the world and the fuzz from the young leaves used as tinder to start fires.

Produces an edible fruit with a sweet-tart flavor reminiscent of both apricots and a pineapple-banana mixture. Can be eaten fresh or used to make jelly or jam. In Uruguay, it is also macerated in alcohol to make a popular liquor. Additionally, the seed can be ground and roasted to make an imitation coffee.

Grows to 60' with distinct rings around its erect trunk. Develops a bulging trunk and a majestic crown of arching fronds. The undersides of the leaflets are gray-white and green above. Slightly fragrant white flowers are followed by attractive bright red fruits.

A multi-stemmed palm tree that can reach up to 20 meters (65 feet) in height. While not all of these stems produce fruit, they are all used to extract the delicious heart of palm.  In demand as an ornamental, and very popular for its tasty red/orange fruits.

This beautiful, showy specimen is technically a cycad rather than a palm and is sometimes called a "Living Fossil" because its origins can be traced back to the early Mesozoic era and the plant has changed very little over the past 200 million years.

A most stunning feather palm with smooth, slender multiple trunks, showy scarlet red.  Extremely attractive fronds.  The small fruit is carried in clusters and ranges in color from pink to dark red.  Very ornamental.

Also known as the Lipstick Palm, this rare feather palm develops a brilliantly red trunk.  This clustering, slow growing palm can sometimes reach heights of over 30 feet.
